Vincent Burroughs Victim & Opportunist?

vincent burroughs 20/20Long time friend Vincent Burroughs will be interviewed on 20/20 April 12th & even though I usually write about home based business and entrepreneurship, I had to share my thoughts on this case.

When his story comes out there will be little gray area.  People will make judgement calls & side with the IRS or the citizen, Vincent Burroughs.  Saying he was a victim or accusing him of being an evil opportunist. If you do not know why 20/20, Dr Phil, Geraldo Rivera and many other national TV shows want to feature his story…

Vince filed lawsuit against the U.S. Government and an IRS agent that he alleges pressured him into sex by threatening a tax penalty.
Burroughs is seeking restitution from the U.S. government for the IRS’s part in employing Dora Abrahamson and not properly enforcing their rules involving the privacy act.  To read the rest click Vincent Burroughs

None of us want to pay taxes let alone up to 40% penalties.  What a scare tactic!  Coming from a woman’s perspective, if it was a male IRS agent who did this and a woman filed suit…WOW would the world be up in arms over it!  As I read the posts from people on other sites, I see that it is entirely different when a man is taken advantage of by a woman and I understand to a degree but I think Vince is victim, opportunist & freedom fighter.

Victim of what seems to be completely premeditated and persistent sexual harassment, an opportunist under pressure who hoped to get himself out of possible IRS trouble & freedom fighter willing to take a stand against an overbearing and oppressive government no matter the cost.   Even though all the facts are not yet out  I do know that Vincent Burroughs has literally put his life out there for the entire world to dissect and given the situation, I don’t know if I would be brave enough to do the same.  My hope, for all our sake is that true justice is served & those who have been put in this same predicament, speak out just as Vince is.

Real American Fraud!

vincent burroughs dora abramson The real fraud is being perpetrated on us all. Your money is powerful.  What will you do about it?

FOOD: Today large corporations are given complete immunity.  Just last week Obama signed the Monsanto Protection Act which means if the courts decide that a genetically engineered crop is dangerous to the public or the environment, it can no longer order Monsanto (or any other company) to stop planting the crops. Instead, the law mandates the Secretary of Agriculture to issue permits and deregulation orders that allow the “continued cultivation, commercialization and other specifically enumerated activities” even if a crop is deemed to be causing a plague or unleashing dangerous genetic pollution.

DRUGS: Big pharma has this same protection.  Immunity from liability for adulterated products–such as drugs and vaccines–even if the manufacturer is willfully negligent in using adulterated products!

PERSONAL CARE: Most cosmetics and personal care products on store shelves today contain five major categories of toxic ingredients. These are: frank carcinogens (cancer causing); precursors of or “hidden” carcinogens; endocrine or hormonally disruptive; penetration enhancers; and allergens.  Late U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts, in 1997 Senate Hearings on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Reform Bill, warned that, “The cosmetics industry has borrowed a page from the playbook of the tobacco industry by putting profits ahead of public health.”

This is just the tip of the iceberg but I challenge you to do something about it.  THINK for a minute how you can make a difference.

What family are you supporting when you go buy products off the store shelf?  Low quality, chemical ridden products that have caused us to be the sickest most malnourished population on the planet.  It is time for we Americans to wake up from our over-medicated stupor and realize that our power lies in what we do with every dollar we earn.  What happened to the land of opportunity when 85% of the population owned their own business?  What happened to the days of trade and barter, raw milk, real food & capitalism?

I just read an article stating that “Every dollar transferred away from these large corporations costs them $40.”  NOW THAT’S POWER!

Scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have concluded that it only takes 10 percent of a population holding an unshakable belief in order to convince the majority to adopt that same belief.  In fact, the scientists found that this will always be the case.

Let’s take them to the cleaners.  4 years ago we took every dollar we could & transferred our spending to socially conscious companies, small farms & local business! We only need 10% to make major social change.  Join us in taking back our power.

Now I ask…Do you think Dora should be dropped from case?  My opinion – heck NO! She knew exactly what she was doing.  Her premeditated harassment and coercion are what brought this mess into Vince’s life in the first place.  She and the IRS should be held accountable.  If it were a man…would he be dropped from the case?  I think not.  The American public would not allow it.

I am appalled that you would comment that you are not sure you would have been brave enough to have shared this… Seriously, like this was fun for him? Turn this around. Suppose this happened to a woman? It would scream of sexual harassment! Mr. Burroughs deserves to be taken seriously and the media is making a joke out of this. Be responsible and look at this with some objectivity.

Hello Jean, I guess there is some confusion about my statement. When I wrote “I don’t know if I would be brave enough” I meant it because I know better than you think what this has done to Vince and how stressed he is. How humiliated and how many people are NOT taking this case seriously because he is a man. Which is why I also wrote “if it was a male IRS agent who did this and a woman filed suit…WOW would the world be up in arms over it!” EVERYONE would be screaming justice be served and $100K is not enough. Unfortunately we live in a very jaded society. The media will spin this how ever they choose. My only hope is that justice is REALLY served. After watching 20/20 I feel that Dora should not be dropped from the case at all. She new exactly what she was doing and now she as well as the IRS should be held accountable.
